IndexMark is operated by Fulcrum Enterprises LLC, PO Box 24, Floral City, FL 34436. We decide how the information described here is used, which makes us the data controller for it.
What we collect
- Website addresses that get scanned, and the public pages at those addresses. We read only what is publicly visible — we never log in, and we never access anything private.
- Contact details you give us — like your name, business name, email, and mailing address — when you get in touch, sign up, or ask us to work on your business.
- Business contact details we look up for businesses we may write to. See below — this is the one thing we hold about people who never asked us for anything, and we treat it carefully.
- Basic usage data — standard website analytics (pages viewed, rough location, device type) so we can keep the site working and understand what's useful.
- Payment records — the fact that you paid, which plan, and when. We do not see or store your card number — payments are handled by Stripe, our payment processor.
How we use it
- To run the scan and show the results.
- To do the work you signed up for and keep it current.
- To reply to you and send your reports and account emails.
- To take payment and keep proper business records.
- To keep the service secure and improve it.
We rely on your consent where you gave us details directly, on performing our contract with you where you're a customer, and on our legitimate interest in offering a relevant service to businesses where we contacted you first — an interest you can override at any time by telling us to stop.
If we contacted you first
We find businesses whose public websites AI assistants struggle to read, and we write to some of them — by email or by post — with what we found. If that's how you got here, this is exactly what we hold and why:
- What we hold: your business name, website address, a business mailing address or email, the results of the scan of your public pages, and whether we've written to you.
- Where it came from: your own public website, your public Google Business Profile, and public business listings. We don't buy lists, and we don't scrape personal social media.
- What we don't do: we don't sell it, share it, or pass it to anyone else. It is used to write to you about IndexMark and nothing else.
- How to make it stop: reply "unsubscribe" to any email, or email [email protected] and say the word. We will delete your record and not contact you again. No reason needed, no follow-up question.
What we never do
We never sell your information. We never share it with advertisers. We never rent out your email. Under California law, we do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those words are defined there, and we haven't in the past 12 months.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies to keep the site working (for example, remembering you're signed in) and privacy-friendly analytics to count visits. We don't use advertising cookies and we don't let anyone track you across other websites. You can block cookies in your browser; the site still works.
The services we rely on
To run IndexMark we use a few trusted providers, and only share what each one needs to do its job:
- Stripe — to process payments securely (they handle your card, not us).
- Brevo — to send account and report emails.
- Google — to check your Google Business Profile against your website (for local businesses).
- Anthropic — to check whether an AI assistant names a business when asked. Only the business name and category are sent, never your contact details.
- Our hosting — to run the website and store your records.
These providers are in the United States, and that's where your information is stored.
How we keep it safe
The site is served over encrypted HTTPS, records sit on access-controlled servers, and only people who need the information to do the work can reach it. Card numbers never touch our systems. No system is perfectly secure, but if something happens that affects your information we'll tell you promptly.
How long we keep it
Customer records: for as long as you're a customer and up to 7 years afterward, to meet tax and accounting obligations. Scan results for businesses we contacted and who didn't become customers: up to 24 months, then deleted. Ask us to delete your information sooner and we will, except where we're legally required to keep it.
Children
IndexMark is a service for businesses. It isn't for anyone under 18 and we don't knowingly collect information about children. If you think we have, tell us and we'll delete it.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, get a copy, correct it, or have it deleted — and we won't treat you any differently for asking. Every marketing email we send has an unsubscribe link. Email [email protected] and we'll answer within 30 days.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle your information in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top of this page and email customers before it takes effect.
